Hamlet
A digital artwork for a production poster promote a production of a modern interpretation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’. The final artwork has a modern yet old look, reflecting that it is a modern version the old English Shakespeare play. It features a mix of raw hand-written and doodled elements and images used are from Unsplash and Pexels. The collage artwork is also straightforward to the well known plot of ‘Hamlet’ with key images from key scenes and a popular quote from the play explicitly depicted: two kings, kingdom, skull, goblet of poison, insanity, sword, crown and a knight. To reflect a modern interpretation, I have chosen to use geometric shapes and colours from the Bauhaus era. This artwork was created digitally with Adobe Photoshop.
