CHANGE by gd1d
CHANGE is a collaborative publication by the class of gd1d, 18 students from 11 countries studying the Diploma of Graphic Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Supervised by Dale Nason, it is a part of a collection of graphic arts publications developed in RMIT’s Graphic Design program. For this project, I took on main roles in the social media and editorial team. Within 3 weeks of intense daily social media promotion along with 2 weeks of the Kickstarter funding project going live, we received a total of 67 backers all around the world and have funded 67% more than our goal of $2020. In less than 2 days of going live, CHANGE was listed as “project we love” on Kickstarter and was 80% of the way towards our goal. My work was chosen by the cohort to be featured as the cover artwork for CHANGE, logo and the intro and outro layouts for the publication. My personal work of a comic collage series exploring the theme of change was also included in 12 pages of the art book. Artworks were made out of handmade elements and mainly self-taken/ Unsplash images.
